The Occupational Health and Safety Diploma at Anderson College is a 47-week, fully online program with scheduled instructor-led classes and expert support. Students build the expertise to identify hazards, implement safety systems, and lead initiatives that prevent accidents, injuries, and on-the-job risks across industries — from healthcare and manufacturing to government and education.
The curriculum is aligned with BCRSP standards and covers OHS principles, laws, and ethics, CPR/First Aid essentials, hazard recognition and control strategies, fire protection systems and safety planning, accident prevention and investigation, workplace health and wellness, fundamentals of ergonomics, occupational hygiene and exposure controls, OHS management systems and industrial safety, risk and emergency response planning, safety audits, analysis, and continuous improvement.
Graduates are eligible to pursue the Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) certification within 12 months and the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) certification upon four years of industry experience.
