Are You A Newcomer and Looking to Launch your Career in Canada? Additional Funding to Study with Anderson is Available!

Windmill Microlending is a registered charity serving newcomers since 2005. Windmill Microlending provides loans of up to $15,000 for skilled immigrants and refugees to pay for their Canadian licensing or training needed to restart or continue their careers in Canada. Loans can be used to cover fees for licensing and qualifying exams, credential assessments, books, course materials, living allowance during the study period, and language courses.

The loans can pay for:

  • Education and training programs of two years or less
  • Fees for licensing and qualifying exams
  • Fees for professional associations
  • Books, supplies and other course materials
  • Travel expenses to take courses or write exams which are unavailable in your area
  • Assessment of qualifications
  • Living allowance during study time
  • Potentially, other costs related to restarting your career

Are You Eligible for the Funding Support?

To be eligible for a Windmill microloan, you must:

  • Be an immigrant and a Permanent Resident, Protected Person, Convention Refugee, Provincial Nominee, or Canadian Citizen
  • You must be living in Canada to apply for a loan
  • Be an internationally-trained individual requiring licensing, re-training, or relocation to achieve your career goals
  • Not have an undischarged bankruptcy
