July 05, 2026 : ❤️Update to my review — overall I’ve had a really good time at Anderson College! Ran into one issue with an instructor, but honestly the way the school handled it made me trust them even more. I brought it up, they listened, and it got sorted out fast. Honestly what I like most is that they don’t make things “easy,” they just push you to actually be your best self, and it works. Combine that with how quickly they stepped in to help when I needed it, and yeah, I’d recommend Anderson College to anyone thinking about it 🙂❤️❤️ ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ I am currently still a student at Anderson College and my student number is NY13831. When I first enrolled in this program, I was genuinely excited and hopeful about starting my education here. Unfortunately, as the program progressed, my experience became extremely disappointing. One of my main concerns is with an instructor named Aileen Valenzona, who refers to herself as “Doctor A.” As far as I understand, she is not licensed as a doctor in Canada, which is confusing for people. The classroom environment with this instructor was often disrespectful and discouraging rather than educational. Instead of explaining procedures clearly and helping students improve, she frequently spoke to students in a dismissive and sometimes humiliating way. Learning should involve guidance and constructive feedback, but many interactions felt more like criticism and disrespect. Another major concern is the grading of practical exams. I received 70% on every single practical exam throughout the course. What makes this even more questionable is that 70% is essentially the lowest mark that can be given while still allowing a student to pass in this program. It is very difficult to believe that every performance I gave was exactly at the minimum passing level with no variation at all. It often felt like you had to either share the same background as the instructor or bring gifts and food to receive more positive treatment or higher marks. Students invest significant time, effort, and money into their education. They deserve fair evaluation, clear instruction, professionalism, and respectful treatment from instructors. Unfortunately, my experience with this instructor did not reflect those standards. I sincerely hope the administration carefully reviews the teaching approach, grading process, and classroom environment so that future students can receive the fair and professional education they deserve.
I am very grateful for my experience as a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) student at Anderson College. The program provided excellent training and helped me develop the knowledge and skills needed to work confidently in a medical office environment. The instructors were knowledgeable, supportive, and always willing to help students succeed. The courses were well organized and covered important topics such as medical terminology, patient communication, electronic medical records, appointment scheduling, billing, and office procedures. I especially appreciated the hands-on learning opportunities that prepared me for real workplace situations. The staff and faculty created a welcoming and encouraging environment that made learning enjoyable and rewarding. I highly recommend Anderson College to anyone interested in pursuing a career as a Medical Office Assistant. It has been a valuable step toward achieving my career goals, and I am thankful for the education and support I received throughout the program. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone at Anderson College who supported me throughout my Medical Office Assistant program. A special thank you to my instructor, Mr. Isaac ‘Ms. Farzana, for her patience, dedication, encouragement, and outstanding teaching.
