The instructor, Karla is incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, always taking the time to ensure we mastered techniques. The MLT program is challenging but the staff and instructors were always approachable and went above and beyond to support my success. I didn’t come to this college just to study… I came trying to save myself. Today, I officially graduated from Anderson College as a Dental Assistant — but the truth is, I wasn’t only learning a profession… I was learning how to stand again. I walked in carrying invisible pain and a smile that hid daily battles. There were nights I cried in silence and days I thought I wouldn’t make it. Yet every morning, I showed up and tried… I just kept trying. This place was more than a school — it was where I could breathe when everything felt overwhelming. Today, holding my diploma, I know I didn’t just graduate… I survived, I healed, and my heart won before my steps did. Thanks to Judy Gagne for her support, and to the Hamilton campus of Anderson College for the wonderful learning experience 🤍Thank you for being part of a story I will carry with me forever 🤍
I am currently completing the Dental Assistant program, which I started in May 2025 . Throughout these months, I have found this program to be a solid and well-structured career option for those interested in the dental field. Crystal Toth is my main instructor, and Aleesha Baxter works in the lab, where she provides hands-on support and assists during classes when needed. Before starting the program, I was concerned about the language barrier, as English is not my first language. However, both instructors have been flexible, patient, and understanding. They create a supportive environment and encourage students, helping them feel that language is not an obstacle to success. I would also like to acknowledge Lori at the front desk, who is always kind, welcoming, and greets students with a smile. In addition, one of the supervisors, Mirella , was a great help and provided support whenever it was needed. As I approach graduation, I feel more confident in my skills and knowledge, and I appreciate the support I have received during my studies.
