Your Medical Career Success Begins Here – with Anderson Pre-Med

You’ve decided that a career in medicine is your calling. What now? Where do you begin and how do you fast track from your dream to actually caring for patients?

Let us help you navigate the meaning, what to expect and how Anderson College’s pre-med program paves the way for you to skip years of working at an undergrad degree and writing your MCAT, and gives you provisional acceptance to St. George’s University (SGU) Medical School.

Seem too good to be true? It’s not; let us show you how it works.

First … What Exactly is Pre-Med?

There are many routes you can take to become a licensed physician, but they all ultimately lead to medical school and the comprehensive and necessary training you need to be a capable, confident professional. Traditional routes to meet the requirements for med school, include lengthy undergraduate studies, writing a Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) and letters of recommendation to demonstrate your capabilities, all before you even begin your years in medical school. But there is another way that allows you to begin to study what you are passionate about earlier and provides you with exactly what you need to succeed.

Your Fast Track to Medical School

At Anderson College we recognized the real need for medical doctors in Canada, the limited number of medical schools for students (17) and saw the challenge students were having to even get into medical school (only 15% accepted on the first try – 85% need to try again or find a workaround). Where there is a need, there is an opportunity to fill it.

Anderson College’s Pre-Med program provides students with the strong foundation necessary to handle the rigorous course of study they will experience in the MD program. It is designed for high school graduates or college students who seek admission to a medical school and don’t meet the MD program requirements or those looking to reach their goal of beginning medical school more quickly.

With our direct admissions partnership with St. George’s University (SGU), as a qualified graduate of Anderson’s online Pre-Medical Program you will be able to immediately begin a five-year medical school program at SGU with the potential to receive a $5,000 scholarship or other financial assistance.
