Yinka’s Dedication + CIFFA Certification = Supply Chain Career Success

Yinka’s Dedication + CIFFA Certification = Supply Chain Career Success

In celebration of our convocation 2023, and the opportunity for us to finally be together and celebrate in person after three years, we asked our graduates to share their Anderson College experience.

Asking, “How has Anderson College changed your life?” prompted over a hundred submissions … this is one of those extraordinary student stories.

We hope this reflection moves you, as it has our Anderson family, and inspires you to ever embrace the career and life you imagine and, truly, deserve.

I am a graduate of the Supply Chain and Logistics program, with honours. Graduating with honours is a joyful thing to my heart and it happened, not only because of the hard work I put into my studies, but also due to the professional ways and dedication that our instructors put into teaching.

I was working in one of Canada’s largest pharmaceutical distribution centres before I was admitted to Anderson College, which I consider to be one of the best colleges in the GTA. I started talking to the admissions advisor at the North York campus while checking out other colleges; I ended up choosing Anderson College over those others.

“I am a graduate of the Supply Chain and Logistics program, with honours.”

I did all that was required, and I got admitted into the college and started my classes. I never regretted my choice because the instructors were so knowledgeable, experienced, and ready to do all they could to help us understand the material. We studied hard for the Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA) exam. And with the help of our instructor, who walked us through the CIFFA curriculum, we all passed with flying colors and got our certification. Thanks to Prikita for being professional, going above and beyond in making sure we all understood what the supply chain and logistics are all about.

After the in-class studies, Anderson College made sure that a practicum opportunity was secured for each student. Even my friend, who studied another course at Anderson, confirmed that they provide a well-secured placement facility. Thank you, Anderson College!

“Graduating from Anderson College is a great thing that happened to me and really changed my life because after my internship, I got hired!”

Graduating from Anderson College is a great thing that happened to me and really changed my life because after my internship, I got hired! I am happy that I secured a job immediately after graduation.

A great thank you to my immediate family for the support and understanding. I recommend this college to anyone who is looking to change careers or to start a new career. Keep in mind, “Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.” ~ Pele.
