The highlight of Anderson College, our reason, our inspiration and what creates the richness behind our environment, experience and the family we are … is the uniqueness, the diversity, the individual gifts and personalities of each one of our students. From our team and faculty to those aspiring graduates who wander our halls and join us in online classrooms, we are more for exactly who and how you are.

This month’s Connect celebrates You and encourages you to pause as you soak in the last rays of official summer, as you engage with your colleagues, friends and loved ones who have helped you to here and to take a moment to express your gratitude in small or grand ways. In this we inspire and empower one another along our way. This is how we make these last days of summer linger and count and set the tone for fresh, grateful, beginnings in our fall.

For over 140 years, the students who enter our doors make up the remarkable community we call Anderson College. Your stories, of struggle and triumph, your culture, the families who raised you and the ones you’re shaping, your fears, determination, tenacity and heart – all these things create the brilliance … our garden. We celebrate you, aim to provide the support and encouragement you require to shape the careers and lives you imagine, and we are infinitely more for your journeying with us.

Look around this month. Who is enriching your days, your life, making things a little easier, sprinkling hope into your moments? Tell them. The ripple effect of this is immeasurable.

The gifts of others, what makes them unique, precious, beautiful … are not always apparent. When we open our eyes to see, to notice and recognize what others bring into our lives, what they bring to the world, and then engage and celebrate – in this, we are enriched ourselves.
