Starting A Cardiology Technologist Career: Read Ani’s Journey

It all started with a visit to Anderson. Read Ani’s journey, written in her own words.

Cardiology technology courseI was a newcomer with a Master’s Degree in medicine. When I came to Canada, I needed to start a new career that was close to my previous profession. I met Heather and she motivated me to start a cardiology technologist program, which was my best decision. I had a problem while providing my documentation but the whole team (especially Ryan and Francesca) helped me solve it.

During the program, different life situations were stressful, but coming to college was stress-relieving and it felt like a new home in a new country with a very warm and caring mother. Heather, who was with us during the whole course, motivated us and gave us knowledge that was adapted to everyone, as our group had different levels of education.

“Finally, I got my Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists certificate and now I can find a job which is very close to my previous one and enjoy my new job in a new country.”

I always wanted to understand how Electrocardiograms worked. After graduating, I can even argue with ECG experts and have my own opinion which I can affirm with confidence. The college team was very kind, helpful and made everyone enjoy the study life and allowed us to gain knowledge. It helped me to adapt to the Canadian lifestyle and habits. Finally, I got my Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists certificate and now I can find a job which is very close to my previous one and enjoy my new job in a new country.
