She Came in with a Retail Job and She Left as a Law Clerk

It all started with a visit to Anderson. Read Guo Min’s journey, written in her own words.

Before entering Anderson College, I used to work at a clothing store and I was confused about my future. Sometimes, even though I was tired, I still had to smile. Then, I realized that it wasn’t the life I wanted. I knew that I had what it takes to succeed and be a better version of myself. What I needed was a better education and a challenge.

I heard about the school from a Community Service Center. After that, I did some research and visited, then I decided to start this new chapter of my life there. The school was downtown in an area with many famous fashion brands nearby. This motivated me to work hard every time I passed those stores on my way to school.

Although I met some difficulties and troubles during my learning, the teachers, classmates and administrators of the school all helped me a lot. Those moments will be the best times of my life and I’m grateful to them for creating such beautiful memories.

“If, like I was, you are looking for a change, a better self and a good career, I believe you have a chance to prove it and make it here.”

It wasn’t until I came to Anderson College to study that I found out that I needed a career, not just a job. I feel blessed and grateful for the knowledge and the support I received virtually and spiritually. If, like I was, you are looking for a change, a better self and a good career, I believe you have a chance to prove it and make it here.
