As we launch into a new year, this month’s Connect is about taking a moment to appreciate where we’ve been, reflecting on how far we’ve come, and looking to the possibility of all we can create and become next. There’s something special about the beginning of a new year – taking a pause to review the goals we’ve achieved and the growth we’ve experienced, then setting our sights on the intentions for the year ahead.
As Anderson College students, you’ve already come so far. You’ve overcome uncertainty, made purposeful decisions, and chosen to invest in your future. This has taken incredible courage, and we too pause at the beginning of this year to acknowledge your achievements and celebrate all that’s still yet to be.
We truly believe 2026 has the potential to be your most meaningful year yet! As you move forward, take the time to recognize your progress and remember that in all you undertake in the year ahead, we’re here to support and cheer you on.
This month’s Connect is meant to offer you a little inspiration on the way and a positive lift for your day. Enjoy!

A Thought to Ponder
“Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
While a new year feels like a fresh beginning, the real value lies in what we carry with us – the knowledge we gained, lessons learned and the resilience that we discovered along the way – and how we apply this in our day-to-day. Every day is an opportunity to reset, refocus, and move closer and closer to all that matters most to us.
You’ve achieved so much in 2025 and the year ahead holds even more. You’ve leapt obstacles, set your sights on enriching your life, the lives of loved ones, and those in your communities, and every day you arrive ready to learn and take on whatever is required to achieve your goals. As you embrace this new year, know that we see your efforts, are in awe of you and are deeply honoured to be a part of your adventure. Our hope is that one day you look back on 2026 as the year that helped shape the person you are – the year that you took your career and your life to all new levels!

The Moral to Inspire Us:
Never, ever give up on what truly matters to you. Be open to the help of others. Keep moving forward, even when the tasks feel challenging and set your sights on those stars – there is no limit to what you can achieve with passion, hope and determination.
