Matt’s Determination Leads to Living His Dental Assistant Dream

In celebration of our convocation 2023, and the opportunity for us to finally be together and celebrate in person after three years, we asked our graduates to share their Anderson College experience.

Asking, “How has Anderson College changed your life?” prompted over a hundred submissions … this is one of those extraordinary student stories.

We hope this reflection moves you, as it has our Anderson family, and inspires you to ever embrace the career and life you imagine and, truly, deserve.

My name is Matt Angelo, and I am a newly graduated student of Anderson College’s Mississauga – Dundas Campus. I completed the Intra Oral Dental Assistant Level 1 and 2 program, which I chose to kickstart my dental career.

I stumbled upon Anderson College’s website while scrolling through my phone and decided to explore the school and the program I was interested in. When I reached out to the campus by message, they immediately responded and gave me a phone call. They also scheduled my appointment for the entrance exam. To make it short, I passed the test and enrolled in my chosen program.

“As an Anderson College graduate, my piece of advice is to never give up on your dreams until they come true.”

My experience at Anderson College was wonderful. The teachers and administrators were very helpful, especially when the class started, and they taught the lessons effectively. During my placement, everything was well-organized. I chose this program because I envision myself working in a dental office and building a better career for my future.

The Anderson community is more than just a community; it’s a family and a team. Together with my classmates, we built good relationships, adapted to new knowledge, and honed our skills to apply them to our future careers. The experience was like a roller coaster ride, with its ups and downs, but overall, it was enjoyable.

“Anderson College has transformed me into the best version of myself, and I am ready to make my mark on the world.”

As an Anderson College graduate, my piece of advice is to never give up on your dreams until they come true. Work hard, study smart, balance everything, and manage your time well. Always complete assignments ahead of time to allow sufficient time for studying and passing exams.

Thank you for the opportunity to share my experience. I am Matt Angelo, and I am beyond proud to be a graduate of Anderson College. Anderson College has transformed me into the best version of myself, and I am ready to make my mark on the world.
