Careers You Can Launch in Less Than 1 Year!
Intra Oral Level I & II Dental Assistant
46/51 weeks, full time, in class Monday to Friday. Practicum with potential employers is 4 weeks/150 hours.
Work alongside a healthcare team dedicated to making their patients smile. To do this you will receive and prepare patients for treatment, sterilize, prepare, and set out dental instruments and materials, process X-Rays, assist dentists during dental procedures and educate patients all along the way.
Our program emphasizes the importance of hands-on-training, and you have the distinct advantage of learning within our fully equipped dental laboratory. Upon successful completion you will be eligible to take the certification exams through the National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB).
Medical Laboratory Assistant Technician – EQual™ Accredited
50/55 weeks, full time, in class Monday to Friday. Practicum with potential employers is 4 weeks/300 hours.
Support patients as you perform laboratory procedures such as preparing specimens for testing, preparing culture media and stock solutions, and recognizing problems and errors in lab procedures, as well as, drawing blood, logging patient samples and preparing them for testing … all while using sophisticated laboratory equipment.
Our program provides you with a foundation of skills and experience to prepare you for taking the CSMLS & MLPAO certification exams.
Medical Office Administrator
44/48 weeks, full time, in class Monday to Friday. Practicum with potential employers, is 8 weeks/240 hours or participation in a Capstone Project.
You perform a variety of administrative duties in various medical settings, greeting patients and setting the tone for a welcoming atmosphere and you are the foundation for effective, efficient and professional communication in the office.
Our program covers a wide variety of theoretical concepts, including health administrative team roles; the study of basic human anatomy and medical terminology; document formatting and business correspondence; computer fundamentals; and patient care and communication.
Occupational Health and Safety – Board Approved
47 weeks, full time, in class Monday to Friday. This program is approved by the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP).
Your role is vital to business operation as you work to protect the physical and mental well-being of people in the workplace and drive, implement and manage health and safety initiatives to prevent work-related accidents, injuries and fatalities.
In this comprehensive program you will learn to identify risks and hazards, create health and safety plans and deliver training programs, as well as investigate complaints and claims and conduct ongoing inspections and work to continuously improve workplace health and safety.
Personal Support Worker (PSW)/ Hybrid Program
Can be completed in 27/34 weeks, online and with virtual classes. Practicum with potential employers is 8/15 weeks of clinical / long-term care and 3 weeks of community care.
This program follows the curriculum of our in-class PSW program but instead of taking every class on campus, you have the opportunity to learn online and also attend some virtual classes with the program instructor.
With above-average job growth and a low-unemployment rate, our PSW – Hybrid program is designed to empower students to be ready to join the work force in just months!
Pharmacy Technician – Accredited
64 weeks, full time, in class Monday to Friday. Practicum with potential employers, is 9 weeks. Accreditation is with Canadian Council for Accredited Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP).
Work alongside pharmacists, other health care providers and the patient to fulfill health and drug-related needs and optimize safety. You demonstrate professional standards of practice, codes of ethics and policies, all practiced within the legal requirements of the industry.
Our program offers hands-on training to gain proficiency in operating and maintaining the pharmacy software “Kroll”, entering prescriptions, creating and maintaining a patient’s health profile, and third-party billing and inventory management. You will learn in our state-of-the-art, fully equipped pharmacy laboratory.
Graduates of our CCAPP-accredited program meet the education requirement of the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
Pharmacy Assistant (Online)
34 weeks, online delivery. Practicum with potential employers is 225 hours.
Support pharmacists and healthcare professionals by assisting with the preparation and distribution of medications, maintaining accurate prescription records, and providing excellent customer care. You will uphold professional standards, follow ethical guidelines, and comply with industry regulations.
Our program offers hands-on training to develop your skills in prescription entry, inventory management, and understanding pharmaceutical calculations. You will also learn the fundamentals of compounding, dispensing, and managing patient records using industry-standard software. Practical experience through a 225-hour practicum will ensure you are confident and job-ready upon graduation.
Orthopaedic Technician
47 weeks, online delivery. Practicum with potential employers is 330 hours.
Work closely with orthopaedic surgeons and healthcare professionals to apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints, and traction equipment. You will monitor and document patient progress while ensuring the highest standard of care, following ethical guidelines and industry regulations.
Our program offers hands-on training in essential areas like casting, splinting, wound care, and orthopaedic equipment management. You will gain proficiency in medical terminology, patient care, and rehabilitation support. Practical experience through a 330-hour practicum will enhance your confidence and prepare you for a successful career as an orthopaedic technician.
Pre-Medical
1 Year, full time, in class Monday to Friday.
For those intent on a medical profession, looking for a comprehensive, fast-track solution providing the foundation needed to handle the rigorous course of study in an MD program. Our program has been designed for high school graduates or college students who seek admission to a medical school and don’t meet the MD program requirements.
Students will complete an intensive three semesters, taken over one year, to earn the credits and experience needed for their chosen career path. Successful students from our Pre-Medical program may progress into a 5-year MD program at our partner university, St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies.

Cardiology Technologist – EQual™ Accredited
76 weeks, full time, in class Monday to Friday. Practicum with potential employers is 600 hours.
You assist physicians by using various procedures and equipment to monitor, diagnose heart and blood vessel disorders. Your responsibilities can range from recording and assessing cardiac activity; providing preliminary reports of tests; and preparation of reports for the interpretation of the cardiologist.
While this career is designed for those who can meet the physical and intellectual demands, the rewards are extraordinary. You are a part of a lifesaving team and your attention to detail and patient care save lives. Our Cardiology Technology program is accredited by the Health Standards Organization (HSO) and its affiliate accreditation (AC) through their new EQUAL Canada program. This prestigious Accreditation confirms that Anderson College’s Cardiology Technologist program meets rigorous national standards and represents a significant achievement, reflecting the quality of our program’s development, delivery and practical training and, that the program’s evaluation process results in continuous improvement in quality.
Diagnostic Medical Sonographer – EQual™ Accredited
86 weeks, full time, in class Monday to Friday. Practicum with potential employers is 32 weeks.
Graduates from our program become highly skilled medical imaging professionals within the allied health sector, utilizing their technical expertise, knowledge of human anatomy and the physical principles of ultrasound to produce diagnostic images of the body.
The primary goal of this program is to provide students with didactic, laboratory, and clinical education/experiences in preparation for a health career as a diagnostic medical sonographer. Graduates will be prepared to meet the Sonography Canada examination requirements.
Medical Esthetician
66 weeks, full time, in class Monday to Friday. Practicum with potential employers is 4 weeks.
In this career your role is one of customer care, from booking appointments and greeting your clients to providing them with skin analysis, applying make-up, providing cosmetic massage and performing regular or medical facial treatments.
Our program provides you with knowledge in skin care, human anatomy, nutrition, and the importance of bacteriology and decontamination to both the esthetician and client. You will gain experience in a variety of services including nail technology, skin care, manicures & pedicures, make-up artistry, body treatments, facials and various laser treatments.
Medical Laboratory Technology Hybrid
2 years, full time. Practicum duration with potential employers is 1120 hours.
Based on the national competency profile issued by the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS), this program trains students to become skilled in applying the scientific, technical, and medical principles needed to perform and evaluate laboratory testing in a healthcare setting.
The first year consists of classroom instruction and laboratory training. The second year consists of online theory instruction and an extensive clinical practicum at affiliated laboratory sites in and around Ontario. In the last term, students will write practice competency-based exams in preparation for writing the national CSMLS certification exam.
Physiotherapist & Occupational Therapist Assistant
74 weeks, full time, Monday to Friday. Practicum duration with potential employers is 15 weeks.
As a physiotherapist therapy assistant (PTA), you work under the direction of a licensed physiotherapist and assist in the treatment and prevention of physical disabilities, movement dysfunction and pain resulting from health-related conditions, as well as documenting the progress of customized client treatment plans.
As an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) you work under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to provide rehabilitative services to people with various physical or developmental impairments, develop treatment plans and document progress.
The program focuses on the most important areas in the field, including the development and function of the human body and rehabilitation plans and techniques, and you are able to train in our fully equipped simulated rehabilitation rooms.
Massage Therapy
88 weeks, full time, Monday to Friday.
Provide therapeutic care and support to clients, promoting relaxation, rehabilitation, and overall well-being through professional massage treatments. You will assess client needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure optimal care, following ethical guidelines and industry standards.
Our program offers extensive hands-on training in a fully equipped massage clinic, where you’ll work directly with clients under the supervision of experienced instructors. You’ll gain proficiency in various massage techniques, client care management, and therapeutic practices. Upon graduation, you’ll be prepared to challenge the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario registration examinations and pursue a rewarding career as a Registered Massage Therapist.
Health Information Management – Accredited
60 weeks, full time, Monday to Friday. Practicum duration with potential employers is 420 hours.
Manage and analyze health information to support patient care, healthcare operations, and decision-making. You will work with confidential records, utilize technology to capture and maintain data, and ensure compliance with healthcare laws and ethical standards.
Our program provides hands-on training in electronic health records, database management, and health information systems. You will develop skills in data analysis, quality assurance, and project management, gaining practical experience through a supervised practicum. Upon graduation, you will be prepared to challenge the national certification exam and pursue a career in health information management. This program is accredited through Canadian College of Health Information Management (CCHIM).
