My name is Michael, a Medical Office Administration (MOA) student from Uganda, studying at Anderson College’s North York campus. My decision to join the MOA program was driven by a desire to enhance my career and secure a stable future. The healthcare field offers numerous opportunities, and I saw medical office administration as a key entry point. The program has equipped me with essential administrative skills, opening doors in a growing industry.

Adapting to a new country was challenging, but the support from my mother and the College made a significant difference. My mother’s unwavering encouragement and belief in my potential kept me focused. At Anderson College, under the mentorship of my instructor, Leena Najeeb, I developed the confidence and competence to thrive. Her teaching approach, blending technical knowledge with real-world applications, prepared me for the workforce. She was excellent at what she did and played a very significant role in my success—”Thank you, Ms. Leena Najeeb”.

“I now feel ready to begin my career, and my advice to others is to believe in themselves and trust the process.”

I also benefited from hands-on experience with Capstone, instructed by Ms. Katrina Fitzgerald, which bolstered my confidence. Anderson College’s comprehensive curriculum, commitment to student success, and nurturing environment allowed me to grow both technically and personally. I now feel ready to begin my career, and my advice to others is to believe in themselves and trust the process. Anderson College forever!
