From Passion to Profession – Bianca’s Path to Medical Esthetics

In celebration of our convocation 2023, and the opportunity for us to finally be together and celebrate in person after three years, we asked our graduates to share their Anderson College experience.

Asking, “How has Anderson College changed your life?” prompted over a hundred submissions … this is one of those extraordinary student stories.

We hope this reflection moves you, as it has our Anderson family, and inspires you to ever embrace the career and life you imagine and, truly, deserve.

My college life freed me from the societal restraints that I felt held me and put me into a world where there is the freedom to choose and think or say anything I want. I became more of me and less of what society wanted me to be. Anderson College changed me for the better, as my experience empowered me to learn and grow and become a better human being and professional.

I chose the Medical Esthetician program because beauty is my passion. My husband and family supported me all the way and believed in me; this made me feel that I could do it and that I have the potential to become a medical esthetician. My husband also supported me by helping me to look after our son while I was doing my lab work and hands-on training.
