From New Immigrant to Account Manager: Read Bahareh’s Journey

It all started with a visit to Anderson. Read Bahareh’s journey, written in her own words.

Business Administration Anderson College

Starting a new life in Canada is a huge challenge that all immigrants must face, I was one of them. Finding a good job, adopting a new culture, speaking a new language, away from your close family and raising your children in a brand new country …. these are some of the difficulties. I was facing all sorts of struggles, Anderson College gave me the opportunity to make this stage of my life more comfortable, it also made me more courageous.

Looking back, I had an awesome experience. Our instructor was perfect, he gave us the self-confidence we needed and made us bolder, he got our class the opportunity to participate and manage two large college events, I was so honored to be one of the ambassadors at the huge Anderson College Job Fair in April 2019. We also collected food and money to help a few families celebrate Christmas during the holidays, because of this, our business administration class received a thank you letter from Jane & Finch Community Center, we were so proud.

“This journey was not just about graduating and getting a diploma; it meant a lot to me, it was super worthy, and it totally changed my life.”
