What Made Me Choose a Medical Esthetics Career in Canada?

On a Journey of Reinvention For 26 years, I was immersed in the fast-paced world of international beauty brands, climbing the corporate ladder to lead training teams for giants like L’Oreal and Estee Lauder. When my family decided to move to Canada for our children’s future, I felt like I was leaving everything behind. The transition was brutal. The loss of my career and the challenges of adapting to a new culture plunged me into a deep depression.

One day, a chance encounter with a neighbour who was studying at Anderson College sparked a flicker of hope. I began to explore the College, and enrolling in the Medical Esthetician program was a decision that would change my life forever.

What Was My Experience Studying Medical Esthetics?

My instructor, Ms. Mati, has been an incredible mentor. Her passion for the industry and her ability to create a supportive learning environment have inspired me to learn with excitement. I’ll never forget the time she gave me a warm hug and told me to believe in myself during a particularly stressful week.

“In just six months, Anderson College has transformed my life.”

Beyond the classroom, Anderson College has provided me with wonderful peers. We’ve bonded over shared experiences and supported each other. Our weekly “food tours,” where we bring in traditional dishes from our home countries, have been great times.
