What Inspired Me to Join the Medical Esthetician Program in Canada?

I arrived in a foreign country with my children, uncertainty, and hope. Anderson College became my safe place where belonging replaced fear.

The warmth of the staff, especially Glen, the financial advisor, reminded me that I deserved a fresh start. Studying in the Medical Esthetician Program as an immigrant mother felt overwhelming, but Anderson encouraged curiosity, confidence, and self-belief.

My husband supported me every step of the way, reminding me I mattered and that this future was possible.

What Challenges Did I Face During My Training?

Just when I began excelling in theory and hands-on training, everything changed.

“Two months into my practical, I was diagnosed with cancer.”

As I moved forward through theory and then practical study, my confidence bloomed. But the waves came crashing. Two months into my practical, I was diagnosed with cancer. When the world seemed to end, the staff at Anderson promised the sun. Taking me out of the waves, they put me in their boat. My teachers ensured I would return and that through my treatment, I would have their support.

How Did I Come Back After Cancer Treatment?

“After my year-long treatment, I returned, completed my course, and now work as a medical esthetician at Peausaine Medical Aesthetics and Spa.”

In the ugliness of life, Anderson College made me feel beautiful. After my year-long treatment, I returned, completed my course, and now work as a medical esthetician at Peausaine Medical Aesthetics and Spa.

But my story has not ended. I’m venturing into a new Medical Health Administration course at Anderson. As I return to the water, if I can complete this new course, I will be able to become a medical esthetics manager of a spa centre.
