Education is an essential part of our lives. We are nothing without knowledge, and education is what helps us stand out from others.

In my home country, I was a biology teacher. When I immigrated to Canada, I decided to improve my English and continue my educational journey in the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Anderson College.

Even though I was a teacher, I was always interested in physiotherapy and occupational therapy because I wanted to help people to recover from injuries and illness and go on to pursue their passions.

“I learned so much in this program, our instructor was understanding, helpful, patient and kind.”

I knew that returning to school would be challenging, while managing my home life with my husband and two children. But my husband was so supportive during this journey. When I had an exam or project to complete, he made sure that all the house chores were done, and our children were taken care of. Moreover, whenever I felt stressed, he would comfort me. I really appreciated the support of my husband during my studies!

“Anderson college was a transformative experience that changed my life in a meaningful way.”

In addition to my husband’s support, the Anderson College staff really helped me. I am so glad that I met this wonderful team, they were friendly and made me feel less stressed as I embarked on this new adventure with a college in Canada for the first time. They explained all the information in detail which made me feel comfortable. I learned so much in this program, our instructor was understanding, helpful, patient and kind. The classes were interesting with group projects and presentations. I was so happy to be a part of a friendly and welcoming classroom community.

In conclusion, Anderson college was a transformative experience that changed my life in a meaningful way.
