Caryll’s Story
What triggered me to go back to school was when I researched the medical field; I decided to become a medical laboratory assistant technician. When I chose this path, I knew from the moment I started my program that this would be a big change mentally and physically. This shift also meant moving into a quieter, more focused environment, helping reduce stress.
Health Career Training Programs: Support That Shaped Her Experience
The staff members who provided me with the most support during my program were first Patricia Lynn, who is a wonderful admissions advisor. She not only took the time to explain the program to me but also gave me the time to think things through. Second is Mr. Bardhyl Vojka. Throughout my school days, Mr. Bardhyl was truly an amazing professor; it shows in his teaching that he cares about his students’ success.
Medical Laboratory Assistant Technician Career: From Placement to Employment
My mom has been my biggest support throughout my months in the Medical Laboratory Assistant Technician program. She made sure that even if I failed a little bit, it would still be okay. I want to thank Anderson for placing me in a good environment at Square One Health Group during the placement times, which offered me a job as well as becoming a medical laboratory assistant technician. Anderson is such a diverse community, and this honestly helped me throughout the program, especially with study groups during exams.
Lastly, I just want to share that during my program my mother always told me, “Keep focusing on your career and reach your dreams.”
